Living Journals - Preserving and Sharing Personal Histories

Living Journals is a community service oral history project based in North Kohala, Hawaii. Established in 2004 by Faye Mitchell, this project has collected the "oral autobiographies" of 16 local seniors.Their stories are audio recorded, transcribed and published in books, newspapers, and other publications for all to enjoy.

One of the last "old time" ranchers of Hawaii, Monty shares his life stories and perspective on ranching  business, sense of community, politics and much more.
